! how to properly tease your hair!!

Before beginning to work with your hair, you need to wash it properly. Thereafter, let it air-dry and brush, to remove the tangles. Never ever tease wet hair, as it might lead to tearing and damage.
If you have the time and patience, curl your hair before you start the teasing procedure, unless it is the beehive look you are aspiring for.
With the help of a tail-comb, separate a single strand or section of hair, possibly 1 inch wide. Use clips to secure the rest of the hair. It is better to start at the crown and then move downwards.
Firmly holding up the strand with one hand, gently brush against it. Make sure to keep a distance of approximately five inches from the scalp.
As you continue holding up the strand, lightly brush towards the scalp. Make sure that you create tangles that offer resistance. However, don’t use so much strength that hair breaks or the brush gets tangled in hair.
Keep on repeating the brushing, known as teasing, till you feel that you have attained the desired volume.
After this, use some hairspray on the teased section and let it down gently.
Using the tips of the brush, lightly brush the un-teased section of the strand, making sure that you keep away from the teased section.
Keeping the teased strand aside, repeat the procedure on other strands, till the entire hair has been teased.
In case you want additional volume, scrunch the hair after the teasing is complete.

How to: Clean your piercings properly

Things you will need:

– H2Ocean
– Q-tips
– Clean hands
– Clean surface to put your jewelry on

What to do:

Wash your hands thoroughly to make sure that you’re not getting bacteria in the holes in your face/body.

Carefully remove the jewelry from your piercings.

Take a q-tip and put the H2Ocean on one side of it, DO NOT USE ALCOHOL, alcohol will dry out your piercings and sometimes can even make them bleed, and not heal properly.

Take the q-tip and rub the area that you have pierced gently, be careful not to rub it too hard or you might irritate it.

Take the other end of the q-tip, put H2Ocean on it, too, and rub it on your jewelry to clean off any junk that may be on it.

After you’ve done this, you can put your jewelry back in. c:

Make sure you do this 2-3 times a week, until they are fully healed, and do it still even when they are healed.

Who. Fucking. Cares. That has been my motto for the past year, and it’s the only one that seems to make sense anymore. These days it seems like everybody just wants to be ‘normal’ so that they don’t get made fun of, or something. Well that’s just no fun at all. What is ‘normal,’ anyway? Being just like everyone else? BORING. Why would you wanna be like the person standing next to you if it’s not who you really are? That’s why I’m scene. I don’t like to label myself too much, but I suppose that’s what you could call me. I wear liquid eyeliner, I have layers, I love screamo, and I dress kinda crazy sometimes, but the biggest thing is that I be myself. I don’t limit myself to only listening to screamo, and some days I just don’t feel like straightening my hair. But I am me. And I don’t give a daayum. I think that’s what’s most important when you’re scene. Just do whatever the fuck you want, and don’t give a fuck what other people say about it. It’s your life, not theirs. Live it the way you want to, or the next thing you know it’ll be too late.

Fly, Mockingbird (I wrote a poem. Hope that’s okay for the article. ^^”)

The gentle beat of your wings,
brings rain to once dry land.
Soar across the sky;
Carry a peaceful banner
Land, spreading thick, red love.
You give us hope.

The soft grip of your beak,
holds the colorful ribbon tight.
Take off and glide over the burning forest;
Swoop down, take their weapons.
Replace them with your kindness.
You give us peace.

The sharp talons on your feet,
rarely used but to pick food off trees.
The trees sing your song, as do the bushes.
The grass sings, too. Only for you.
The berries and flowers spread the color.
The color of hope. The color of peace.
