How to be scene: This is such a backfiring topic. What’s the goal of being scene? To be unique, right? But what IS scene? Yes, we’re different from the preps and jocks, but we’re our OWN stereotype. As much as we’d like to think we’re SOOO much different from everyone else, I promise there is someone else in the word with the same shoes and hair bows as you. Which gets me into discrimination. Even though we’re teased (like our hair HAHA!) we shouldn’t be like “Oh yeah, those preps, they’re so dumb and they all look alike” because by doing that, we’re just as bad as they are. What I’m trying to get at is that we’re all struggling teens and we need to not make it rougher for another. We’re all in this together, no matter what stereotype (although, scene kids are DAMN sexy :D) Thanks –! HaLeY_hAiiRsPrAy

You don’t have to have the long, perfect, colored hair to be scene. So all you girls with short hair [Like mee] don’t stress about it. The way I style my short hair is by straightening my bangs and bottom layers perfectly flat, then for my upper, shorter layers, I take my hair straightener and straighten them straight up. Like a mohawk kinda.. I keep doing this to the whole left side of my head, then straighten my right side perfectly flat. Then I softly smooth down my hair a little so instead of sticking straight up, it looks like it’s teased :3 I hope this helped!!
Love,

I think being scene takes effort, its not just a label but a statement. scene girls are beautiful, the regular scene girl would have extensions, lots of make up and died hair. I want to try to make something new, I may have short hair but im challenging myself to go bigger than that. to take a risk. im trying to not only make a point, anyone can be a scene but not every one can be a scene queen. its my dream to be a model, like many girls. but one question your gonna get a lot is can you do it? and i know i can, its just the madder of how im gonna get there. i hope putting this in i can help me start a career in the modeling business.

Herro, I’m JennyRae.c:

Most people say that ‘scene’ is all about the long, teased, colored, and crazy hair; but its more than that. Its more of a way to express yourself with flying colors.

“To be scene, your hair has to have at least 2 colors, extensions, teased to the max, and lots of animal print” <- Stereotype.

To be a ‘true scene kid’ you have to be different. Express yourself. Stand out of the crowd. Don’t be a clone of Katie Babyfayce, or Brookelle Bones, or even Vanna Venom. Be your own style. Show people you’re not like others, show them you’re a fun, colorful soul.

Most people say to be a scene kid, you HAVE to like Hello Kitty, have piercings and tattoos, wear lots of make-up, and have mutli-colored hair. Well, you don’t. Not if you don’t want to.

Like Barbie says, “Be true. Be you.” <3

Well, that’s all I have to say. Thanks for reading, lovely’s. <3

Hi, mistressvonnieimoon here<3
Being scene isn’t hard, you just gotta have the right accessories. Like bracelets, that is my mark, and they don’t even cost that much!!!! Bracelets complete any look whether homemade or bought, they help you look and feel your best:D

some call me emo kimmy…
some people think that scene is another way of being emo.. even if it was it makes us better.. and the fact that we dont care about what other people think of us makes us stronger. we are just as beautiful as the girls running the halls in schools… i think we are more confident and unique in a good way… i dont think anyone should bring us down because of our hair or the way we dress… because we can do just as much as every one else…. im proud to be scene and to be me and no one can take that from me<3
