How to Look Like a Scene Teen
How to Look Like a Scene Teen
You know them. The girls who wear short, neon skirts and spike their hair. The boys who wear skinny jeans and usually turn out to be musicians. And you may not know it, but there are different types of Scene Teens. Take The Veronicas for example. Their style is different but it's still scene. Read on if you wanna be "scene".
Steps
First, you have to pay attention to yourself and not others. Sure, there's that girl named Trinity that calls herself scene, but then, there's that person inside of you that knows that deep down, you got an eye for style.
Okay, now you need to look at your current clothes and decide what style they are. Make piles or bins for different styles, like Girly, Goth, Sporty,
Geeky. You can branch out by adding Hip Hop, but if you have Hip Hop clothes, don't throw them away!!!!! Keep them because you can jazz them up and make it look fantastic.
Decide if you're gonna throw some things away. If you already have 'scene' clothes, you need to know what kind they are.
Are they:
Trendy Scene?
Insider Scene? (Popular Scene)
Musical Scene
Hippy Scene?
Or Dark Scene?
If you don't have any of those types of clothes, or any clothes that could be the style you're going for, maybe you should take an article of clothing and adding like, one peice of fabricto make it what you want it to be. Like taking a brown jacket and adding lime green and tangerine orange fringe on the cuffs. You have to be able to get creative alot!!!!!
It's time to do the age old thing that everyone does once in a while, if not everyday. Shopping. Whether you're shopping at Salvation Army or Punk United Nacille, it's considered shopping. Now, some of you may frown at Hot Topic, but they've got great basics for the style, and even though alot of it's expensive, if you dig, you'll find that cute, hot pink shirt for only 5 dollars.
Shop for bright colors, but at the same time, keep an eye out for those browns, blacks, and whites, as they go great with a colorful shirt. Amongst Girls, tanktops are really popular, especially when paired with a tee shirt under it and a pair of colored skinny jeans. But with boys, stay away from any layering of shirts unless it's a long sleeved and a short sleeve. Baggy jeans are always great for Hippy Scene, boys and girls, but if you wanna be either Insider Scene or Trendy Scene, stick with the skinnies. And, it's not worth it if you spend 200 bucks, use your clothes for a month, then throw themall away and chase a new trend. If you wanna do this temporarily, spend like, 30 dollars so if you throw it away, it's not that big of a loss.
Your hair is one of the things that throw you out there, and if you don't use it to it's full potential, why is it even there? And now I've 2 words for you guys: Liberty Spikes. They always look good on short, choppy hair because it's one of the only hairstyles you can do on short hair. But with long hair, you can do everything and anything. For boys, straightening it is good, or gelling it up to create a fauxhawk. But if yyou want the real deal, grow it to the top of your shoulders, then shave the sides. Always use gel that smells good. For girls, don't be afraid to curl it every once in a while as long as you have something to make it differnt, like one streak of purple on blond hair, or one straight section with bleached white on black hair.
Color, Color, Color! Dye your hair all the colors of the raindow! Bleach it, spike it, then chop it! Do what you feel like doing! That's what this style is all about. Don't you get it?
Makeup, you kinda need it if your a girl. Make your eyes stand out by dipping your eyeshadow brush into cold water, then getting a gray shadow over the brush and sweeping it neatly on the crease of your eyelids. Then take some red and sweep it directly over where your eyelashes grow.
Take a little bit of black, and then sweep it under your eyebrow. After that, draw some swirls, stars, hearts, peace signs or anything around your eyes in neon eyeliner. Keep it to a minimum with the drawings; with swirls, you should go crazy. After that, just buff some peach blush onto your cheeks and swoop some flavored and lightly colored gloss onto your lips and you're
good to go.
Shoes can be anything, as long they compliment your feelings that day. Like, Pastry sneakers will look great if you think they will. Platform boots, high heels, flats, sneakers, anything as long as you keep flipflops for the beach and the pool. Don't limit yourself to one thing just 'cuz everyone is doing that, too. Rememeber, individuality. (And I know I spelt rememeber wrong but that's how I feel like spelling it!)
Attitude and witty comebacks? Check. Cool, bright clothes and makeup? Check. Any stinkin' shoe you want? Check. Sweet hair and a nice scent? Check and check. Well, look at that. You're a scene teen!
Tips
Never throw any clothes or receipts away. Return the clothes and show the receipt to get your money back.
First of all, you shouldn't have been reading a wikihow article on how to be scene if you "think" you're scene. But gyedence (I know it's wrong, but spell it like that!) is key in a complicated style like scene.

Warnings
Do not stand to be called a poser.
Do this over a long time or else you will be insulted by people.
